Privacy, in plain English
The short version: we collect as little as possible, we keep messages only as long as it takes you to read them, and we never sell anything about you.
- 01 What we collect
No account, no profile.
There's no signup, so there's no name, password, or email of record. We don't ask who you are and we don't build a profile. Your disposable address and its access token are stored in your own browser, not against an identity on our side.
- 02 Your messages
Stored briefly, so you can read them.
To show you an incoming message we have to receive and store it. Messages sent to your disposable address are held in our database and then deleted automatically by scheduled cleanup, normally within two to three hours of arriving. We don't read, scan, profile, or sell their contents, and we never use them for advertising.
- 03 Who can read an inbox
Only the browser that created it.
Each address is generated from a large random keyspace, and reading it requires a private token issued once to your browser. Knowing or guessing an address is not enough. If you clear your browser storage the token is gone and the inbox can no longer be opened by anyone.
- 04 Delete it sooner
You don't have to wait.
Use "Clear inbox" to delete every message in your inbox immediately, or "New address" to abandon the address entirely. Either way you don't have to wait for the automatic cleanup.
- 05 Analytics
Aggregate, anonymous.
We use privacy-friendly analytics (Plausible) for aggregate figures like page views, browser type, and country. No cookies are set for analytics, no personal identifiers are collected, and there's no cross-site tracking or ad network following you around the internet.
- 06 Cookies & storage
Local only.
We use browser local storage to hold your active address, its access token, and your light/dark theme preference. That's it. No advertising cookies, no third-party trackers, no fingerprinting.
- 07 Third parties
Kept to a minimum.
We rely on Cloudflare for hosting, DNS, and mail delivery, and on Plausible for aggregate analytics. They process data strictly to operate the service. Because we don't collect identifying information, there is none for us to pass on.
- 08 Your rights
Very little to request.
We hold no account or personal data tied to you, so there's no profile to export or correct. Message data is short-lived and deleted on a schedule; you can delete it yourself at any time from the inbox. Questions about a specific request can go to hello@temp-mail.in.
- 09 Changes
Updated in the open.
If this policy changes in any meaningful way, we update the date at the top of this page. No silent rewrites, no buried diffs.
